Our Global Agents

Comex International was founded by the Wilson family with 40 years of salvage experience. The founder and CEO, Charlie Wilson, was also founder of SeaRail International Inc., a traditional salvage services company; founder and CEO of SalvageSale, another online commercial salvage company; and co-founder and President of Tanks for Schools, a non-profit designed to bring education programs to children in impoverished countries by salvaging weapons of war.

The combined experience listed above has given Comex International and Charles Wilson a clear advantage in the salvage marketplace by combining new emerging technologies with global salvage experience. The strategy is to partner with existing service companies and manufacturing companies dealing with insurance claims, bankruptcies, liens, mishandled cargos, and asset recovery working together to recover as much money as possible for their salvage goods. Most products Charles Wilson handles are commercial from all 14 major sectors of commerce. The retail products Charles Wilson handles are usually large quantities that require special types of buyers. Comex International and Charles Wilson have found innovative ways to match buyers and sellers through sophisticated database categorization, which pairs the right products for sale with the best potential buyers. The suppliers enjoy quick and easy access to the global secondary markets by creating a legible, easy-to-read listing with accurate and comprehensive information, enabling the potential buyers to easily access global salvage opportunities and reintroduce these unfortunate products back into the world of commerce. This entire 'exercise' is recycling at its optimum level, reaching all corners of the world.

The objective is for buyers and sellers to enjoy a positive experience by providing them with tools of the trade and a venue for conducting the sale of their salvage products. We have created 3 types of venues under our web site umbrella in response to the needs of the market place. As commercial products are sometimes difficult to sell quickly due to the sophisticated nature of certain items, Comex International has created a BID ASAP option, which allows the product to be posted until it is sold. This venue allows difficult to sell products the time required to find the proper buyer and allows the sellers to receive bids as they come in on a real time basis. The reserve price will continue to drop until the item sells or the seller decides to accept a buyers bid. The second type are Auctions used to offer products for sale with a timeline to bid, and buyers are notified if and when they are outbid. When the auction is over the sellers will receive a comprehensive activity report, including high bidder and additional information to help them quickly expedite their claim or sales process. This venue is frequently used for commodities that must be sold quickly, such as commodities from insurance claims. The third venue is our ability to leverage our current eBay marketplace. In order to receive the best bids for products, Comex International will leverage the eBay marketplace when certain items are better suited to the types of buyers frequenting eBay. Comex International absorbs all the extra costs associated with selling product through eBay to make sure the seller has a one stop shop to sell their products. We have found by combining these two online communities we can always find the optimal solution to maximize your return for your salvage and surplus products.

"Just wanted to let you know how pleased we were with the rapid sale of our ice tanks. You made it real easy for us, the seller, to connect with a buyer on a very unusual item. In this transaction, everyone came out ahead. Good job Comex!"
